- How long have you been operating in Turkey? We have been helping customers and friends for over 3 ½ years.
- What made you pick the region of Alanya? After searching for suitable properties from the East to the West coast we found that this region has better value for money when comparing apples with apples. Alanya is a beautiful place, has many attractions for all ages and has excellent growth potential.
- Will you be willing to arrange property inspection flights? Yes, we can arrange the inspection trips to suit your needs. You will pay for flights/hotel and after the inspection if you are happy to invest with us we will reimburse some or all of your costs.
- Could we fly direct to your area from UK? Yes, there are many flights (scheduled and chartered) direct to Antalya airport. There are other options available depending on your needs.
- Can you arrange transport to pick us up from the airport? If you book a hotel package then there is usually transport included. If you only book a flight we can arrange transport and will have someone who is fluent in English to greet you.
- How long does my Visa last in Turkey and can I stay longer if I wish? For UK visitors you will be issued with a 3 month Tourist Visa when you arrive at the airport. This costs £10/€15. If you wish to stay longer you must apply for a residents permit for 3 or 5 years. For other European nationals please confirm with your embassy.
- What documents are required when you buy a property? Your passport, photos, and Turkish tax number (and money of course!)
- What are the costs of running a property in Turkey? The running costs are very low here when compared to Europe. Once you decide on the type of property that you wish to buy we will give you all the facts and figures so that you know what is involved.
- Could we open a bank account in Turkey? Yes, what you need is your passport and the Turkish tax number. We will help you with this so do not worry.
- How soon can the property belong to us?Normally if the property is ready and you are able to pay for it, a contract is made between you and the seller and keys will be handed over to you straight away. However, the title deed (known as Tapu) will be available in about 10 weeks as Turkish authorities have to make some security checks for the benefits of all.
- Where would we buy furniture and fittings? If a property that you have chosen does not have furniture included we will take you to some of our tried and tested suppliers as they give value for money with a good after-sales service. Prices of furniture and accessories are much lower than in Europe. Of course you have the option of going your own way and trying a bit of bargaining but please take our advice and take someone with you who knows the local culture.
- If we have problems in our new property who do we contact? You may contact the seller/ourselves and we will try and help you with any problems you might come across.
- Will we see you again after the purchase? Of course you will see us again! You might need help for a while as there will be a few other things to take care of (utilities, insurance etc.)
- What is the tax situation if we decided to sell up and want take money back home? The sales tax on property in a private name is 3% of the declared value of the property. You can take money through the normal banking system. If required we can arrange a meeting with an expert who can help you with your personal financial circumstances.
